The Accelerator Operator will assist in the development of the processes around routine and non-routine particle (electron) accelerator equipment operations and maintenance tasks necessary to safely, compliantly, and efficiently manufacture radiopharmaceuticals. The Accelerator Technician will guide a team in performing routine operations and maintenance.
The individual will be required for the operational success of the radioisotope production process, including accelerator startup/shutdown operations and maintenance, target irradiation, and other routine operations.
Bachelors or Technical qualification in Engineering, Physics is preferred. Three or more years of working in a highly regulated / cGMP environment; or equivalent related experience is required. Experience working with electronics, test equipment, and/or mechanical systems is required. Knowledge of the operation of an accelerator, nuclear reactor, or other radiation producing devices, and experience in radiopharmaceutical production is preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude is required, and some scientific background is ideal.
