About this opportunity:

Life-Assist, Inc. is looking to enhance our current IT team with a Desktop Support Technician (DST). The DST will work with the Network Administrator as part of the IT department, reporting to the IT Director. The Desktop Support Technician will perform a variety of tasks supporting Life-Assist’s users and devices. Areas of responsibility include, servicing helpdesk requests, troubleshooting local and remote technical issues, software/service administration, auditing and cataloging Life-Assist IT equipment, and setup of devices/services.

Who are you?

Education, Licenses, Experience & Skills/Abilities

  • 2-5 years of experience preferred.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in an information technology-related program preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and IT work experience.
  • Certificates of continued education in information technology related fields.
  • Good demeanor - able to put people at ease and communicate with non-technical users.
  • Comfortable working, communicating, and collaborating in a team environment at all levels of the organization.
  • Self-learner and Problem solver; ability to use appropriate caution when working with production systems; ability to listen and follow directions; can work with limited supervision.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail; able to prioritize help desk over focused projects.
  • Experience remotely supporting geographically separated employees and branches preferred.

What will you do?

  • Responsible for tracking IT-related inventory.
  • Responsible for monitoring the help desk.
  • Provides first tier user support, such as connectivity troubleshooting, resetting passwords.
  • Responsible for replacing printer consumables when they run out.
  • Support the phone system.
  • Support the network administrator.
  • Collect old equipment for resale or recycling.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
