Industry Analyst

Position Overview 

Crossroads is seeking an Industry Analyst for one of its clients. The Industry Analyst will Contribute qualitative and quantitative insights and analysis about the consumer technology industry to inform client Research thought leadership. The position also requires this person to follow and provide analysis and forecasts on emerging technologies and trends as well as assist in the maintenance of thematic stock index program.

Job Responsibilities 

Industry Analysis
-Analyze qualitative research, sales statistics and forecasts for current and emerging technologies to create in-depth reports, white papers, forecasts, research notes, editorial pieces, presentations and other deliverables as assigned.
-Serve as lead industry analyst and subject matter expert on one or more technology product categories.
-Conduct price, market share and total addressable market (TAM) analysis on consumer technology products and services.
-Develop sales forecasts and provide five-year outlook analysis for assigned product categories.
-Gather and synthesize industry intelligence from forecast participant submission forms, interviews, surveys and third-party data sources.
-Provide written research insights that can be used for promotional efforts across clients social media and marketing channels.

Thematic Programs
-Conduct semi-annual rebalances of a portfolio of thematic stock indexes that actively trade on domestic and international stock exchanges.
-Write updates on company activities as they relate to the topic of thematic indexes.
-Identify key products and trends for support of strategic CES and client initiatives.
-Liaise with Nasdaq and ETF partners on regularly scheduled calls and respond to ad-hoc requests about indexes.
-Perform other duties as required by business needs.

Work Experience:
-3-5 years’ experience as industry, business, or market analyst.

Education/Training: 

-Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, international relations

Skills/Capabilities/Technical:
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
-Ability to translate data into concise insights and convey the story behind the numbers.
-Strong research skills, especially regarding company financials, business news and industry trends.
-Ability to quickly determine and summarize a company’s or industry’s core business characteristics
-Strong interest in technology; interest in following and identifying emerging market trends
-Highly motivated with evidence of intellectual curiosity and creativity
-Intermediate proficiency with MS Office products, especially Excel and PowerPoint
