The position:
AMEWAS, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and talented ECSTIM Electronics Technician to support Advanced Aircraft Research, Development, Test & Evaluation. This position is classified as AMEWAS labor category Technician.

A typical day as a ECSTIM Electronics Technician may include:

  • Being an electronics technician in the ECSTIM branch is an exciting and challenging role.
  • This branch deals with the test and evaluation of advanced electronic warfare systems and equipment in simulated combat scenarios.
  • On a daily basis you will be part of a team ensuring that all components are functioning correctly and that the systems accurately replicate real-world scenarios. This includes verifying the proper operation of threat emitters, evaluating the effectiveness of systems, and validating the accuracy of radar simulations.


Must-haves:

  • HS diploma or equivalent with 4 years of relevant work experience
  • Attendance of a 1-2 year HS, Military or college program focusing on: Computer-Aided Design, Electrical wiring, Electrical Engineering/Technology, and Mechanical Engineering/Technology
  • Familiarity with Aircraft systems desired
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance

Physical environment and working conditions:
The physical environment requires the employee to stand, walk and/or move throughout the workday, often bending over and picking up items less than 50 lbs. and/or operating machinery to assist in the movement of heavy objects such as forklifts and dollies.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock.  The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
