SCOPE:

The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) reporting to VP of Assetswill be an integral leader on the asset management team at a privately held real estate investment firm. This position will be instrumental in generating robust metrics by analyzing financial and operating data and by monitoring vertically integrated business units. The ideal candidate will be individually proficient, able to lead a team, and motivated to apply analytics to drive company performance.

Lakeshore is a privately held owner-operator of quality manufactured housing communities. We have been in business for over 20 years and continue to grow rapidly.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead production and review of all standard and ad-hoc analytics.
  • Oversee delivery of monthly/quarterly KPIs, reporting packages, etc.
  • Drive operational profit-and-loss performance by promptly identifying issues and trends.
  • Drive debt financing performance by forecasting loan compliance and analyzing refi options.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Lead periodic analysis of market rents, tenancy, receivables, etc. to drive quick decision making.
  • Model various financial scenarios, e.g., defeasance, land development, hold-sell, chattel lending.
  • Support acquisition due diligence with various analytical aspects.
  • Recommend system-level best practices to ensure data integrity.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or similar field; MBA or MA preferred.
  • 7-10+ years of experience, majority in real estate FP&A and/or Asset Management.
  • Highly proficient at financial modeling; fluent with Excel, sensitivity analysis, and pivot tables.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead others, meet deadlines, synthesize takeaways.
  • Highest level of personal and professional integrity.
  • Excellent written communication skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Frequently required to sit; Occasionally required to talk or hear; While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate; Occasionally required to lift up to 10 pounds.

COMPENSATION: $90,000 - $130,000/Yr (Based on experience) plus annual bonus eligible up to 10% of individual/company performance

LOCATION:  Skokie, IL - Home Office (Hybrid work format)
