The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting training for production technicians on the knowledge and skillset necessary to perform optical and mechanical assembly. Training Technician - Optical and Mechanical Assembly Pay and Benefits:

  • Hourly pay: $30/hr
  • Worksite: Electronics Testing and Measurement Company (Santa Clara, CA 95051 -Onsite)
  • W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL
  • 40 hours/week, 24 Month Assignment

Training Technician - Optical and Mechanical Assembly Responsibilities:

  • Conduct training for production technicians on knowledge and skillset necessary to perform optical and mechanical assembly.
  • Ensure technicians continue to practice techniques taught while performing assembly works.
  • Ensure best practices and protocols are followed by manufacturing technicians.
  • Update the teaching syllabus with corrective actions and engineering changes to assembly procedures.
  • Ensure technicians are kept up-to-date on new corrective actions and engineering changes to assembly procedures.

Training Technician - Optical and Mechanical Assembly Qualifications:

  • Work in a class 100/1000 cleanroom align laser systems using concepts of auto reflection and interferometry.
  • Perform epoxy-based assembly processes to create complex opto-mechanical assemblies.
  • Use mechanical and/or optical measuring equipment (oscilloscopes, autocollimators, and/or other related test equipment).
  • Use of computer-automated test systems and entering results.
  • Use of laser alignment and test systems.
  • Use of hand tools and mechanical fixturing for mechanical assembly.
  • Familiar with working with optical components like lenses, mirrors, and prisms.
  • Perform cleaning of optical components and assemblies using approved solvents.
