The main goal of the Traveling Special Projects Manager is to transition a recently acquired self storage facility to our operating systems and on-site processes.  In addition to onboarding new facilities, the position requires travel to previously acquired locations to help facilitate basic property improvement projects.  This position reports directly to the Director of Property Management.  Base location is flexible but preferable to be in the southeastern US due to driving proximity to most of our properties.  Travel will take place approximately 2-3 weeks/month.  Vehicle and travel stipend also will be added. Fralin Life Sciences Institute at Virginia Tech is searching for a Fiscal Technician to serve as part of our Finance team.   Reporting to the Assistant Director, Finance, the Fiscal Technician will support the administrative, financial, and research functions of the Institute. Areas of responsibility include purchasing and reimbursement activities, receiving, funds handling, travel processing, service center billing and support for FLSI onboarding functions. The Fiscal Technician ensures appropriate separation of duties, internal controls, and compliance with federal, state, local, university, and department policies and regulations.  This position is eligible for a hybrid work location arrangement.  However certain responsibilities may, at times, require an onsite presence at the Blacksburg main campus location.
