AVP Domestic Violence Philosophy: AVP Domestic Violence Philosophy Statement: Center on Halsted’s Anti-Violence Project believes that no one deserves to be abused and that individuals affected by domestic violence have a voice that must be heard, including those of children. AVP also believes that any person in an intimate relationship could be harmed and so services should be offered without regard to a person’s resources. The Anti-Violence Project also firmly believes that all individuals should be treated with respect. Further, AVP believes that all services must be trauma-informed and accessible to the full, authentic lives of individuals affected by domestic violence.
