Responsibilities for the Operations Manager
· Manage daily operations from the company headquarters (Rochester, NY)
· Streamline office procedures and business practices.
· Draft, edit and submit Requests for Quote, Requests for Proposal, and other Technical Proposals for approval.
· Draft and revise local, state, and federal contracts.
· Ensure the organization’s internal contract documents are accurate and well maintained.
· Meet with appropriate stakeholders to discuss both legal and business matters.
· Provide advice and guidance to the President relating to contract generation/maintenance.
· Continually seek and submit for new proposals.
· Identify opportunities to improve business processes and devise plans to implement changes.
· Demonstrate a solid understanding of all contracting legal terminology.

ENGINEERING ASSISTANT I
The Village of Wilmette is seeking to fill the full-time position of Engineering Assistant I in the Engineering and Public Works Department. The person in this position will report to the Village Engineer.
General Responsibilities :
The Engineering Assistant I will assist the Engineering and Public Works Department in the planning, design and inspection of public improvement projects. Includes administrative support for various operations and activities. Position serves as project engineer for various capital improvement projects. Responsible for construction oversight which includes construction layout, inspection, determining as-built quantities for pay estimates and contractor supervision to ensure the project is built to contract specifications. In addition, this position is responsible for responding to citizen inquiries and complaints, and other related tasks as required.
