1. Assistant Director (Fish & Aquatic Conservation) -Washington, D.C. The Assistant Director- Fish & Aquatic Conservation works collaboratively with Native American Tribes, States, landowners, and other partners and stakeholders to achieve the goals of healthy, self-sustaining populations of fish and other aquatic species, and the conservation or restoration of their habitats. Sets priorities and coordinate the activities of the Fish Health Centers, the Fish Technology Centers, the National Fish Hatcheries, our Fish and Wildlife Conservation Officers and the Aquatic Animal Drug Approval Partnership in order to propagate healthy, genetically diverse aquatic species to help re-establish wild populations, conduct applied scientific research, monitor and diagnoses aquatic animal health in captivity and in the wild, and develop management models to conserve fisheries in the face of climate change.
