Eagle River Water & Sanitation District is looking to add to our expert team of Wastewater Operators! The ideal candidate for this role has a heart for community service, values teamwork and exhibits a strong work ethic. We are seeking an approachable and dedicated professional, preferably with an educational background in a science related discipline. A mechanical background will also help you succeed in this role. We work hard to provide a vital service to the community by creating and controlling an environment for bacteria and microorganisms to thrive in order to treat our community’s wastewater and discharge clean water back to the river. This position will use a mix of chemistry, biology, technical problem solving, and mechanical aptitude on a day to day basis to achieve that goal. A big part of delivering clean water to our customers is maintaining regulatory compliance and optimizing our water treatment operations.  We are looking for a professional and dedicated Water Operator to help with water treatment plant operations and maintenance as well as water quality management and regulatory sampling at our Avon Drinking Water Facility, our most complex facility and workhorse of our drinking water system.   This is a great role for someone who wants to gain big picture experience in water operations, working with everything from regulatory compliance, to troubleshooting modern water treatment mechanical processes, to treatment optimization in a facility slated for multiple large capital improvement projects over the next ten years.
